Guide for checking if a console is patched
If you have thought of or have bought a Switch, you should know that since June 2018 Nintendo has patched the Switches in such a way that they cannot be modified, since although RCM mode can indeed be accessed, payloads cannot be sent and therefore you can't do anything.
There are several ways to check if the console is patched or not.
Method 1 - By serial number
This method can be useful if, for example, you still do not have the console and you know the serial number of the console.
This method is not completely reliable, but it can serve as a clue as to know if it is patched or not.
Serial numbers starting with XAW1:
XAW10078XXX and lower are safe to buy
XAW10079XXX and higher are not safe to buy since they can be patched
XAW1010XXX and higher are patched
Serial numbers starting with XAW4:
XAW40011XXX and lower are safe to buy
XAW40012XXX and higher are not safe to buy since they can be patched
XAW40013XXX and higher are patched
Serial numbers starting with XAW7:
XAW700178X and lower are safe to buy
XAW700179X and higher are not safe to buy since they can be patched
XAW70019X and higher are patched
Serial numbers starting with XAJ1:
XAJ1002000X and lower are safe to buy
XAJ1002100X and higher are not safe to buy since they can be patched
XAJ1003000X and higher are patched
Serial numbers starting with XAJ4:
XAJ40050X and lower are safe to buy
XAJ40051X and higher are not safe to buy since they can be patched
XAJ4006XX and higher are patched
Serial numbers starting with XAJ7:
XAJ70042X and lower are safe to buy
XAJ70043X and higher are not safe to buy since they can be patched
XAJ7005XX and higher are patched

Method 2 - Through the result of the payload
If you already have the console, you can find out if it's patched by sending a payload and checking the result it gives you.
When you execute a payload through the TegraRcmSmash tool you have to see the result of when you send the payload.
Always run the TegraRcmSmash tool via the command line (cmd.exe) so that you can see the output.
If you run the payload and check the result that is marked in red:
0x7000 means that your console is not patched and the payload will run without problems
On the other hand, if the result is:
0x0000 means that your console is patched and at the moment you will not be able to execute payloads.
Method 3 - Introducing the serial number in a Web
There is a web page where entering the serial number of the console tells you if it is patched or not.
Remember that this method is not 100% reliable either.
Link: https://akdm.github.io/ssnc/checker/
When entering the serial number we can find several results in the "Status" column:
Warning: The console might be patched
Patched: The console is patched
Thanks to @hiru that has told us about the existence of the page.
If your console is patched, there is no currently known method and it is not known when it will be released, it could be months, years, or never. Please, do not ask about it, as soon as something comes out, we will let you know.
